Description: River Park Hospital is looking of Recreaton Therapist right now, this occupation will be placed in West Virginia. Detailed specification about this occupation opportunity please read the description below. The Recreation Therapist plans and implements
therapeutic recreation services and psycho-educational activities for
patients. Therapeutic recreation and psycho-education
servic! es includes physical fitness, creative expression
opportunities, leisure, and general psycho-education learning
activities. Responsible for administering therapeutic
recreational assessments, MMSE's (adult programs) and other outcome
measures. Documents services and patient response in medical
record. Provides progress reports for treatment plans and
summaries. Contributes to the development of treatment
plans. Maintains age-appropriate recreation/education supplies
and equipment, including purchasing supplies and materials for
patient reinforcement/reward program. Attends and participates
in patient treatment team meetings as part of the interdisciplinary
team as directed.
This position is a float position on acute units
and the days of work are Wednesday -
Sunday.
Requirements
Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor's Degree
in a Health Service related field, Recreation and Leisure
pr! eferred. CTRS certification preferred by not required.
Tho! se with CTRS certification may be assigned specialized or
additional responsibilities commensurate with any salary
differential. Must have knowledge of a variety of recreational
activities, must possess the ability and willingness to work
professionally and effectively with staff, medical staff, patients,
family members, administration and others. Must have the
ability to complete documentation that is consistent with policy and
good clinical practice.
