Ecolab, the leading global developer of premium cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance products and services for the hospitality, institutional and industrial markets, has the following position 2nd & 3rd shift positions available at the Ecolab Martinsburg Plant .
A Chemical Mixer is responsible for manufacturing or assisting in the manufacturing of all products according to standard formulas, applicable instructions, and current standard operating procedures. Incumbent has the ability to perform any of the tasks within the mixing department.
Main Responsibilities:
Reviews daily mix schedules. Ensures that the correct PPE is available and other safety procedures are understood and followed. Asks Supervisor for assistance if needed.
Ensures that the raw materials required for the mixes are available. Ensure that the Ecolocator system is being used to maintain inventory system. May use fork trucks, palletizers, scales, pu! mps, and other material moving and measuring equipment.
Takes samples of the completed mixed batches. Performs basic QC tests or takes samples to lab for tests. Consults with Quality personnel on batch adjustments. Notes batch adjustments on mix paperwork.
Cleans out mix tanks when empty per procedures. Collects wash-water.
Follows and achieves daily mix plans.
Document all work accurately and timely as instructed, including material usage.
Pumps completed products to assigned storage vessel, as instructed.
Maintains equipment, work area and raw material storage areas in a clean and orderly manner.
Cross-trained on bulk loading and unloading.
Key Qualifications:
High School degree or equivalent
Ability to read an! d follow detailed mixing instructions.
Ability to be fork truck certified and to use other manual and automatic material moving equipment.
Technical and mathematical ability to operate batch systems, pumps, read meters, understand basic QC data, and to track mixing and quality information (mix logs, batch adjustments, etc.).
Ability to perform basic QC tests (take samples, perform pH tests)
Strong attention to detail; must have ability to simultaneously mix several tanks and to accurately complete related documents.
Ability to read and match numbers on shipping records, labels, raw materials, and finished goods.
If internal candidate, strong performance record including safety, quality, attendance, productivity, and adherence to rules and policies.
Demonstrated team orientation; proactively communicates and willing to be flexible to meet business needs.
Ability to meet physical requirements of job, incl! uding respirator fitness if required.
