Location: Mathias West Virginia

PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE: Perf! orms or assists in all phases of construction, operation, and maintenance of gas utility facilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assists with compressor station duties such as: oiling, greasing, cleaning, dismantling, repairing, and overhauling gas compressors and auxiliary compressor station equipment; performs good housekeeping activities such as cleaning, removing oil and dirt from equipment and piping, washing windows, and yard maintenance. Assists with compressor station construction such as erecting buildings, pouring concrete, installing new equipment, erecting fences and other facilities.

Assist with and performs actual work such as: painting buildings, piping and other facilities using spraying and brushing equipment; loads and unloads tools, equipment and material.

May work with and/or operates various equipment such as: power winch, pneumatic tools (pavement breakers, jack hammers and tampers) and water pumps. Uses various! hand tools such as shovels, pipe and ratchet wrenches, dies, ! pipe cutters, etc.

Required to train and then fill-in for station Operator to include shift work

Initiates and completes work orders utilizing computerized maintenance system program within scope of position.

Adhere to environmental policies by collecting samples, following appropriate reporting procedures and associated clean up of any spills.

Follow proper collecting procedures when obtaining liquid/solid sampling or changing coupons.

Assists in the compilation of shipping manifests.

Uses computer for various tasks including but not limited to, time entry, e-mail, environmental reporting, station reporting, intranet, etc., if required.

Must be willing to be confined-space trained if required.

Knowledgeable of appropriate health and safety training in order to follow appropriate safety standards.

Assists in planning of work and participates as necessary in safety and/or team meetings and discu! ssions.

Interacts with landowners, federal/state/county officials in a helpful and respectful manner.

Locate and mark underground pipeline using required equipment

Addresses MISS utilities requests or state one-call requests in accordance with state/federal regulation

Assist in construction activities when necessary.

Operates various power and/or pneumatic tools

Performs valve and/or operator maintenance

Operates methanol injectors/pumps

Must be able to identify atmospheric corrosion inspection

Changes oil, changes filters, cleans parts, hauling materials, painting.

Gauge tanks

Handles various fluids such as used oil, pipeline liquids, basement wastewater,

General housekeeping

OSHA safety inspections (i.e. fire extinguishers, slings, ropes, chains, etc.)

Operate and maintain valve/operators

SELECTION CRITERIA: Basic Computer skills re! quiredMust be capable of obtaining appropriate required op-qual tasks f! or the position.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Exposure to extreme weather conditions; Must maintain valid drivers license to operate motor vehicle and maintain necessary DOT certification if required. Subject to call-out and overtime.
