Senior Researcher (Boston Scientific Corporation! ; Valencia, California): Will drive the ongoing strategic publication planning process in support of product indications and differentiation by applying higher level scientific expertise in the field of Neuromodulation and broad knowledge of clinical research. This individual will collaborate with all areas of the business to coordinate scientific publications across all key stakeholders and generate clinical evidence that is in-line with the scientific method and best statistical practice. Possess and leverage credibility to inform and influence internal and external customers, lead strategic research activities, and influence new products/indications. Lead all research activities towards the development of clinical experience summaries for BSC's current and emerging treatments in the areas of deep brain-, spinal cord-, and peripheral nerve stimulation, in accordance with FDA and global regulatory requirements. Lead the development of strategic publication plans across all! areas of BSC's neuromodulation clinical research, in close co! ordination with business stakeholders, while maintaining the scientific integrity and statistical accuracy of all scientific content released to the medical community. Develop a systematic approach to driving a portfolio of clinical evidence that includes at minimum information on efficacy, safety, durability of effect, quality of life, and economic outcomes. Drive targeted research initiatives in the field of neuromodulation to inform clinical risk management activities. Serve as a subject matter expert on clinical evidence pertaining to deep brain-, spinal cord-, and peripheral nerve stimulation on cross-functional initiatives across the company. Author manuscripts, presentations, and abstracts for peer-reviewed scientific journals and medical conferences. Author clinical study reports to inform FDA and global regulatory bodies on neuromodulation clinical evidence. Work closely with the biostatistics group to identify clinically-relevant data analyses for publication. Min! imum requirement: PhD in neuroscience or closely related field. Must have: (1) Demonstrated ability to write scientific publications and presentations, as evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals or accepted abstracts at medical conferences, in the fields of neuroscience, neurophysiology, or biomedical engineering. (2) Deep subject matter expertise in neuroscience as it pertains to neuromodulation clinical applications to medical treatment. (3) Strategic thinking and strong analytical skills as they pertain to the development and dissemination of clinical evidence garnered through independent and collaborative research projects. (4) Expertise in assimilation and interpretation of scientific content with adeptness in ability to translate for appropriate audience. (5) Ability to independently develop a strategic research program geared toward the demonstration of specific requirements.
