Those communities include, but are not limited to St. Clairsville, Ohio, Wheeling, West Virginia and Washington, Pennsylvania.In your role as Safety Specialist, you will be involved in the direct support of all aspects of the Williams Safety Program by providing guidance, interpretation and proactive leadership and solutions to support safe and reliable operations.

You will review and analyze trends from incident investigations, hazards, near misses, and field observations within Midstream operations and partner with Area Leadership Teams to develop proactive solutions based upon these trends.The Safety Specialist serves as a change leader, educator, advocate, consultant and mentor while shaping the organizational safety culture.Key Responsibilities: Meet with Area Leadership Teams to discuss and identify opportunities for area perform! ance measures, trends and best practices, recent incidents and! near misses, outstanding action items and developing plans for resolution, open MOCRs and upcoming project startup timelines, and applicable safety topics for monthly employee meetings.Actively participate in regulatory agency inspections and audits, compliance audits, facility inspections, emergency response drills and critiques, incident investigations, hazard assessments, and PHA's.Provide technical assistance regarding safety concerns to management and supervision. Respond to employee concerns and issues in an effective and timely manner.Work under the direction of the Corporate Industrial Hygienist to conduct, coordinate and interpret industrial hygiene sampling (area and/or personal) to ensure compliance with federal regulations or adopted voluntary guidelines established by the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists.Assist in the development and maintenance of all required permits, files, reports and records covering all aspects of assigned scope ! of company operations.Provide safety guidance and training to the field personnel on subjects that include: work permitting, Hot Work, LOTO, CSE, PPE, fall protection and other safe work practices.Provide Safety Leadership with the field workers by having a strong field presence, including providing guidance on any questions/issues that arise in the field. Review and revise procedures, ensuring they are in alignment with applicable regulations (OSHA, ANSI, etc), and with SIP.Support Operations with planning, scheduling and coordination of Emergency Response activities/programs.Oversee, coordinate and monitor contract service and inspection of facility fire extinguishers, breathing apparatus, portable gas detectors and other applicable fire/safety equipment.Provide health and safety support and guidance across the Northeast Gathering and Processing Operational Area as required.Perform other duties as assigned by superior or in response to business needs.Required Qualificatio! ns: Bachelors Degree in a technical field (Safety, Industrial Hygiene, ! Chemistry, Engineering, etc.)10+ years experience working in the safety field.Proven working knowledge of OSHA regulations and specific knowledge applicable to the elements of the OSHA PSM regulations.Proficient in the use of the MOC, PTW, PHA, PSSR and Incident Investigation processes and requirements.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to and use a variety of database applications.Strong organizational, planning and coordination skills.Strong interpersonal skills.
