Intake Services Manager


 The Intake Services Manager devises and implements strategies to deliver confidential intake service for students seeking center-located assistance or refer students to campus-located basic need services and other student service resources. This position independently manages and determines daily activities of the center during the week, evening, and weekends, which includes collaborating with center-located services (e.g., Financial Education, Loan and Support Services programs and services; Bruin Hub), permanent and temporary hoteling placement of campus partner services, and other comprehensive student support efforts that align with the center's service objectives. The Intake Services Manager also provides overall administrative stewardship with communication strategies (online and in-person). In addition, the position directly supervises 10 center student staff and collaborates with the Financial Education, Loan and Support Services (FELSS) department, Student Affairs departments, and other campus partners to lead event planning and management of center meetings, retreats, and conferences. Administrative responsibilities also include fund tracking, developing and implementing assessment strategies, analyzing assessment data, developing reports and visual presentations, and procuring supplies, services, travel and equipment using various on-line systems for the center.

Under the current direction of the Economic Crisis Response Team Chair, this position manages and coordinates activities through collaborations with campus partners to streamline service delivery, to facilitate communication between offices, and to directly help students access campus-wide basic needs resources.

The Intake Services Manager will work closely with center leadership and FELSS leadership to support the holistic development of students' life skills from a position of dependency to self-sufficiency. Through assessment, consultations and follow-up services, this position will help students navigate support resources with basic needs, and referral to campus departments and community agencies.

This position will identify issues and trends and exercise independent judgment regarding escalating cases to appropriate university departments and coordinates with center staff and others, if/when needed for resolution.
