The Montana Department of Transportation is recruiting a Temporary (up to one year) Administrative Assistant to support the Glendive District office. This position responsibilities include customer service and communications, accounts payable, procurement card transactions, accounts receivables, and payroll/personnel. The general working hours for this position is 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The position generally covers MDT's core public hours. The position reports to the District Financial Officer or the Area Administrative Assistant and does not directly supervise other agency personnel.

Minimum Qualifications:
The required knowledge and skills are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to a:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and
- 1-2 (One to Two) years of customer service-related training, business or office management, accounting, or communications experience.
Alternative qualifications include: Any combination of additional related work experience and education equivalent to the minimum qualifications.

- This is a full-time temporary position up to 1 year. Estimated dates - September 2023 to September 2024.
- Some (day) travel will be expected to help cover Miles City and Wolf Point offices as needed.
