Responsibilities and prospects for Mechanical Engineering Specialist include:
- Assist shop with production / technical support, i.e. produce quotations, procure drawings from manufacturing divisions, inside sales support, and proof and/or write all work scopes before releasing to shop or quotation
- Provide accurate drawings to allow shop to make sourcing decisions quickly
- Transfer product CAD drawings to machining resource internally and externally
- Capacity planning and scheduling of jobs
- Write purchase orders to procure parts for jobs, have the ability to open jobs, review PO from customer to make sure terms are correct and answer questions from shop to help with production
- Bachelor of Science Degree
- Minimum of 1-2 years in a CAD 2000 environment or related job shop environment and/or 10-15 years manufacturing or production experience with limited CAD experience
- AutoCAD version 12 or later
- Excellent communication skills
- Capable of working effectively within deadlines
- Customer driven
