Job Title: Transportation Sales Agent Location: Eastern US Travel 50 % Established in 1990, West Coast Distributing, Inc. is a diversi! fied logistics firm headquartered in Boston, MA. West Coast Distributing, Inc. has grown to be a leading service oriented organization with over 60 employees in multiple offices located in 3 states.
Description: To sell and expand existing business with national accounts and develop other areas of business penetration which is not currently being serviced by West Coast Distributing, Inc. and its sister company WCD. Training will be provided to the candidate on our software, tracking systems and processes as well as job skills to perform daily tasks. Specific duties (included but not limited too): Conduct minimum of 15 face to face sales calls per weeks focusing on national accounts.
Send out a minimum of 40 sales proposals to new business prospects per month. Communicate with all West Coast Distribution offices regarding potential leads and follow up. Liaison for shipments in terms of preparation, accounting and escalations. Follow-up on leads gener! ated by our offices and give regular updates till completion/c! losure of lead.
Update system on progress of leads and new customers Prepare and submit sales report to Director of Sales You will participate in a weekly or bi-weekly sales meeting. Job requirements: 6 months 2 years of experience selling in the Logistics Industry Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience. Must have the ability to develop relationships with existing nominated accounts.
