Amazon.com's Kindle Customer Service department is seeking an Instructional Designer with experience building both classroom and e-learning solutions. The Instructional Design t! eam develops and maintains training programs that graduate high performing Customer Service associates working across multiple contact media in a variety of geographies.
Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management
Collaborate effectively with Operations teams, subject matter experts (SMEs) and others on the Knowledge Management team to support corporate launches and department initiatives
Educate project teams on Customer Service processes and procedures to advocate for the Customer Service associates’ interests during new initiative project planning
Partner with business and product teams to advocate for effective customer-centered solutions and to build associates’ comfort, confidence and competence in resolving customer issues Instructional Design
Perform needs and task analysis, scope projects, and evaluate existing documentation to identify the most appropriate training approach and content to meet the learning nee! ds of Amazon customer service associates in multiple global lo! cations
Design and develop creative learner-centered, performance-based training programs, modules, and materials in multiple modalities including synchronous remote learning methodologies, blended classroom learning, interactive e-learning modules, videos, device learning labs, job aids, facilitator guides, and auxiliary practice, review, and resource materials
Develop valid training evaluation tools that evaluate behavioral and business impact
Effectively manage multiple projects and initiatives from scope to evaluation in closed-loop process
Coach and mentor supervisors, leads, and trainers of associates in effective facilitation strategies The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high energy environment. They will be an adult learning expert and a creative and analytical problem solver with a passion for excellent customer service.
Basic Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Experience ! in learner-centered, performance-based instructional theories and adult learning principles in multi-modal instruction
Proficiency and familiarity in Captivate, Articulate, and Adobe Photoshop skills
1+ year in project management
Fluency in all Microsoft Office applications
Portfolio of sample work required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a major corporate training environment working on instructional design assignments across multiple teams or groups
Experience in a customer service environment
Experience using a large-scale LMS to host content
Familiar with the Amazon brand and shopping experience
