The WV AUM Medic! al Office Manager has a twofold responsibility. The OM is resp! onsible for coordination of office services for the AUM Medical Program that ensure efficient and accurate varied and complex administrative functions are performed to meet contract deliverables with effective business process support. In addition the OM provides non-clinical support to other programs â€" BH Outpatient, Social Necessity, BHHF, and MRDD Waiver, ADW Waiver, TBI Waiver and general office functions.

Essential Functions

  • Provides primary non-clinical program support to the AUM Medical Program that include â€" provider TAs and training (phone and face-to-face), customer service, call triaging, authorization preparation, workload management and tracking deliverables, data entry, preparation, editing & final quality check of training and other materials.
  • Provides back-up for the essential office services of financial/budget tracking, basic accounting & bookkeeping, coordination of supplies/equipment/etc., contract billing & renewal, re! cord keeping, facility maintenance, and reporting related to these activities.
  • Provides non-clinical support to other programs as needed.
Requirements
  • BA/BS degree preferred, AA in office management or medical related field accepted if minimum experience requirement is met.
  • 2-3 years in a progressive administrative support position or office management position
  • Familiarity with medical health care preferably WV Medicaid
Summary of Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the office environment and business processes
  • Understanding of customer service approach for medical provider stakeholders
  • Familiarity with government structure and related programs
  • Familiarity with medical codes and billing procedures
  • Needs excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and serve a variety of staff
  • Extensive PC skills- minimum Word, Excel and PowerPoi! nt. Familiarity with other programs is a plus.
  • Experience with! staff and provider training, public speaking skills
  • Continually assess the office functions & report potential issues to Director
  • Identify weak programmatic activities and processes that may result in failed contract deliverables
  • Proactively track licenses, RFPs, financials, leases, etc. to ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner
Occasional travel may be required to conduct training and attend meetings.
