Position: The Lab Bench Technician is responsible for a number of different duties within the Bench department, working in a production line environment. The Lab Bench Technician is tasked with focusing on reaching and maintaining their hourly goals to keep productivity high. Great attention to detail, a strong work ethic, the ability to work in a fast paced team environment and the ability to follow directives from the Bench Team Lead, Supervisor and Manager are all essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains hourly production! goals for their station.
Focuses on work being proce! ssed to ensure any errors are reported to Bench Team Lead so they can be corrected quickly.
Ensures correct flow of work is processed in a timely manner.
Communicates with Bench Team Leads on department and station issues.
Skills required to be considered for this position:
Must be able to read and write English.
Sustained light (20 lbs. or less) physical effort required.
Must be able to sit.stand for 10 hour shifts
Previous experience in an optical lab environment or similar optical field is preferred but not essential.
General methods or policies are defined and some standard procedures are available. Changing situations call for the exercise of regular judgment.
This position will require you to work some weekends and some overtime may be necessary.
