Position Summary

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for maintaining interior and exterior finishes of the facility including wall coverings, paints, and ceiling finishes. The position requires the individual to perform repair and maintenance functions in patient rooms, offices, and other assigned areas of the hospital as well as float to support off site Hospital owned properties.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

• Ability to speak effectively before diverse groups, including clients and employees.

• Ability to understand and apply instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

• Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

• Two-Three years of related Painter training or experience preferably in an institutional environment.

• Strong knowledge of the type, care and application of paint and ceiling finishes.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

• Hospital experience preferred.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

• Valid California driver’s license and vehicle insurance (California minimum) preferred.
