Marsh Bellofram Corporation, an established and growing manufacturer of industrial and medical instrumentation prod! ucts, is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Supervisor to develop, administer and maintain environmental, health and safety programs, as well as be an active member of the Company’s ISO team. The position is located at our Newell, WV facility, approximately 25 miles west of Pittsburgh, PA and 35 miles south of the Youngstown area.
Primary job functions include:
Participating in developing, implementing, improving and maintaining company environmental, health, safety and emergency action plans and procedures. Ensuring OSHA compliance by testing machinery and equipment, completing checklists regarding personal protective equipment and inspecting the environment to ensure safety and compliance. Ensuring EPA compliance. Keeping management advised on changing regulations and impact on operations. Accompanying, as needed, all OSHA compliance officers and insurance inspectors during on-site audits. Completing investigations when/if injuries and/or ac! cidents occur, while completing all documentation required. De! veloping training programs to build sound environmental and safety programs. Maintaining OSHA 300A logs. Evaluating and assisting in implementing standardized programs and information systems that monitor, simplify and document compliance to internal and regulatory requirements and permits.
Job requirements include:
Knowledge of manufacturing health and safety processes and the ability to ensure compliance of all federal and state regulations. Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective actions. Strong documentation skills. Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy. Analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
Education requirements include:
Bachelor’s of Science, preferably in safety management, environmental science, engineering or industrial technology; CSP designation a plus.
Experience requirements include:
4-5 years safe! ty and environmental experience in an industrial setting and environmental permitting experience.
