POSITION SUMMARY:
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for representing KCI across care settings by maintaining and establishing relationships with high level decision-makers at strategic accounts. This role is responsible for maximizing KCI revenue by negotiating profitable contract agreements at Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN), regional Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) chains and other assigned accounts. This role will focus on managing touch points with Account Administrators, Procurement and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) with the aim of ensuring KCI product usage. Where possible, the Strategic Account Manager should aim for sole sourcing contracts and center-driven protocol with respect to wound care vendor selection.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position KCI for revenue generation at assigned accounts by:
Attaining and maintaining high-level relationships to ensure access for KCI sales team
Developing a targeted account plan for revenue retention and growth based on a sound understanding account buying process and needs
Conducting quarterly business reviews with key decision makers to demonstrate KCI's value proposition from competitive offerings
2. Serve as primary contact for KCI contract decisions by:
Understanding competitive positioning at account
Developing contract pricing, terms & conditions (in line with account needs)
Negotiating final terms with relevant account stakeholders
3. Coordinate with the following KCI sales team members:
Territory Manager: Understand current VAC buying tendencies and future opportunities
District Manager: Collaborate on overall account dynamics and strategic opportunities
Surgical Sales Manager: Understand current Prevena and Graftjacket buying tendencies and future opportunities
4. Adhere to all KCI policies, procedures, and guidelines.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Complete essential business-tracking requirements by:
Managing high-level (e.g. contracting, quarterly business review) account administration issues
Completing and submitting required corporate and regional reports/documents within designated timeframes
Maintaining customer interaction information by entering into designated KCI system (salesforce.com)
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree (or in process of obtaining degree)
Minimum five years outside sales experience
Minimum two years experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other healthcare-related field
Experience with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
:
Sales experience with major account / IDN responsibility
Masters of Business Administration degree
