PPG Industries Inc. is seeking talented people for front line supervisory positions at its New Martinsville, WV chemicals manufacturing facility in the following categories: Production/Operations, & Plant Maintenance. Production/Operations Supervisor Preferred Requirements : Incumbent should have a minimum of 5 years experience in supervising the daily activities of a production unit. Duties include supervising production operations in accordance with plant safety and other policies and procedures; meet shift production goals and schedules; schedule work assignments; conduct employee training and safety meetings; administer the plant collective bargaining agreement; communicate as necessary with other supervisors and the department and/or plant management staff.
Maintenance Supervisor Preferred Requirements : Incumbent should have a minimum of 5 years experience in supervising maintenance craft workers in an industrial maintenance setting. Crafts supervised will consist of one or more of the following: mechanical maintenance repair personnel, instrumentation mechanics, industrial electricians, pipefitters, welders, and machinists.
Additionally, the successful candidate should possess excellent communication & organization skills, be able to make decisions and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and be competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
