Environmental Reporting Subject Matter Expert
Organization:
The Subject Matter Expert (SME) role for this position would be the Water SME and the co-Air SME for the Essentials Suite
TM
application.
Under the general direction of the
Environmental Reporting (ER) Leader
, the Water and Air SMEs are responsible for providing expertise for the Essential Suite ⢠application and associated support IT-tools and work processes.
The Water and Air SME roles exist to ensure that the most appropriate utilization of the application is obtained by developing and providing procedures, conducting training, collecting and prioritizing requests for functionality enhancements, and consulting with the support groups and partners throughou! t sites using Essential Suite ⢠in the United States. This j! ob includes master data administration duties for the application, which include the development and application of the business rules associated with the data.
Responsibilities of the Water SME and backup Air SME roles include:
Provide tool support to users
Support users by troubleshooting Essential Suite ⢠environmental reports
Participate in impact analysis, design, and testing of applications for break/fix requests
Assist Global I/T SME with functional testing of new versions of the software, service packs, and patches
Help customers with reporting requests using custom/user reporting tools
Communicate technical problem status and resolution to appropriate network(s)
Work with the Global I/T SME to support application enhancements
Lead continuous improvement projects associated with environmental data management
Help to develop training packages/tools for end users
Assis! t in training efforts as identified by the Global I/T SME
Responsible for maintaining procedures and web page technical content for the specific media
As part of the Environmental Request for Change (ECF) process, coordinate and oversee the approved changes for media/module
Water /LIMS Interface SME specific responsibilities include:
Lead Community of Practice meetings
Maintenance of Essential Suite ⢠Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) configuration tables
Maintenance of Essential Suite ⢠DMR validation tables
Maintenance of INCA Code Cross Reference (XREF) tables
Participate in Essential Suite Water Module Focus Group meetings
Prioritize enhancements list for Essential Suite ⢠vendor
Oversee & understand LIMS interface to Essential Suite ⢠functionality
Work with Water Site Media Coordinators to configure new Water permits and Water permit renewals
Coordinat! e LIMS SME per LIMS site with local Site Media Coordinator
Pro! vide reporting expertise for specific applicable State, Federal and Net DMRs
Owner of Water Environmental Reporting Work Process (ERWP)documentation
Periodically monitor master and transactional data quality within the system using the data monitoring tools; define requirements and new data checks for those tools
Provide module-specific content updates to the Electronic Change Form (ECF) tool manager as necessary
Responsible for the maintenance of user reports and Water data uploader
Air SME specific responsibilities include:
Equations SME (develop, implement and manage uniform Essential Suite⢠emission estimation equations as requested by users or environmental technologists)
Air Emissions SME (assist users in developing and implementing emission models for calculating combustion product emissions and setup and troubleshoot emissions models)
Project assignments such as leading the continuous improv! ements projects and Six Sigma Projects
Lead/Participate in the âcommunity of practiceâ air userâs group, specific air report groups (e.g., STARS), and vendor-lead air focus customer group
Develop and maintain site-specific design documentation based on site or state specific reporting requirements.
Periodically monitor master and transactional data quality within the system using the Data Monitoring Tools; define requirements and new data checks for those tools
Provide module-specific content updates to the ECF tool manager as necessary
Responsible for the functional design of user reports and uploaders applicable to the specific media
This job requires strong technical and interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task a variety of activities at one time.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree is required - Chemical Engineering is preferred
Previous experie! nce
in EH&S is preferred
Experience with Air and/or W! ater Permitting is preferred
Candidate must have a working knowledge of MS applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access)
Experience with Essential Suite would be highly desired
A minimum requirement for this U.S. - based position is the ability to work legally in the United States on a permanent basis (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident or qualifying Asylee / Refugee).
