Expertise in at least 1 area of infrastructure. Serviceable skills in at least 3 areas.
Participation to help grow the practice (Sales, Maturity, etc.)
Sales Support â" Assistance to help drive a sale leveraging your expertise and identifying potential sales opportunities when working with a customer.
Communication skills
Over communicate status on projects and requests to both the client and internal team.
Document your work for others to reuse.
Clarify your expectations\un! derstanding of tasks and vice versa.
Respond to email! s / requests in a timely manner. (i.e. 2 normal business hours)
What are the responsibilities of a Support Services Senior Engineer?
Professional
Responsible for delivering solutions as a Senior member of Support Services
Ability to provide guidance to consultants across multiple projects
Expected to provide value-added activities within each engagement whether remote or onsite
Identify opportunities within client accounts and communicate to leadership
Should be perceived as the subject matter expert (SME) on most engagements and is expected to maintain that level of confidence with customer
Develop the skills to coach/mentor other Support Services Engineers
Understand and develop best practices across team
Understand and follow best practices on all technology implementations
Responsible for support documentation deliverables
Knowledge/Skillset Desktop Engineer Level! Skills
Has strong troubleshooting skills and is able to logically work through issues
Strong communication, writing and analytical skills
Server Administrator Level Skills
Working knowledge of backups/disaster recovery
Active Directory
DNS
Server Engineer Level Skills
Active Directory
DNS
Strong understanding of both local and cloud-based systems
Strong desire for career growth within Infrastructure technologies
Able to implement projects with no supervision
Considered to be âgo toâ person for certain technologies within Sparkhound
Actively perform queue management
Team
Works under general supervision reports to Support Services Manager
May coordinate activities of other MSP or Network Support Engineers
Able to perform daily tasks without or little supervision
Operational
Return calls out of ! the MSP email queue that the technician is assigned to
Will ha! ve the ability to be dispatched to client sites
Shall work with other MSP team members to learn and develop skills
Shall provide/update documentation on CAV and client documentation folders
Remain proficient at all workstation troubleshooting and support skills
Actively develop server administrator role skills
Contribute to Knowledge Base
