Mission Statement:
Cost Accounting includes the compilation of cost information for highly configurable products for make to order and make to stock jobs. It also encompasses the investigation of costs that differ from expectations, assisting in resolving those differences and preparing reports.
Main Accountabilities:
1. Assign overhead rates by product group so we have an accurate view of product cost
2. Analyze product cost variances and resolve recurring issues
3. Analyze monthly data by product group and adjust overhead rates as needed
4. Conduct Activity Based Costing exercises so cost can be properly allocated.
5. Develop break-even point for Lewisburg factory
6. Provide monthly reports that summarize revenue and costs by product lines
7. Analyze price book and in conjunction with cost and recommend updates
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
Bachelor’s de! gree in accounting related field with 2+ years in manufacturin! g/cost accounting setting, proficient with MS Excel, SAP experience is a must , Activity Based Costing experience would be helpful
