The preferred candidate should be a team player able to work independently and handle crisis situations to resolution. This position will report to the Warehouse Manager and will work collaboratively with all sales channels to properly fill wire orders. The candidate must have a strong drive to develop a familiarity with the wire products. Activities in conjunction with this position will be selecting proper wire, cutting accurate lengths, and ensuring orders are filled efficiently and on time.
Tasks:
Fill wire orders for all locations by selecting proper wire, cutting accurate length, and ensuring orders are filled efficiently and on time. Verify wire against packing list, receive and place into stock properly. Organize material on a daily basis to ensure material is in the proper location. Repair reels when needed or re-spool wire to new reels. Tag wire pieces and organize on racks. Notify purchasin! g of defective or wire shortages and when to reorder wire (low inventory or out of product). Sweep floors, dispose of trash, and keep Wire Room organized each day. Keep wire machines and other equipment maintained and in proper condition. Other tasks as assigned.
Key Success Factors: Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
High School or equivalent education Wire knowledge beneficial Basic computer skills Ability to safely use a pallet jack, forklift, and reach truck Work well under pressure, ensuring both accuracy and efficiency
Work Environment:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis Must be able to climb narrow ladders Must be in good physical condition Standing for extended periods of time
