Water/Chemistry Supervisor

Location: Morgantown West Virginia

Description: Affinity Executive Search is currently seeking to employ Water/Chemistry Supervisor right now, this vacancy will be placed in West Virginia. For detail informations about this vacancy opportunity please read the description below. This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for managing the daily operation of the power plant chemistry, chemical laborat! ory, and Asset Manager of the offsite Water Treatment Facility. The Chemistry Supervisor will develop, direct, monitor, analyze, and maintain the power Plant Chemistry program. Areas of responsibility will include Condensate, Boiler Water/steam, circulating water, FGD, SCR, coal, natural gas, CCBs, sewage treatment, and all Plant Effluent and Discharge Waters. Responsibilities include development of chemistry procedures, monitor frequency of sampling, provide leadership to chemical technicians, and use chemical engineering principals to provide technical support for the Coal Fired Generating Station.

Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and experience.
? A minimum of 5 years’ experience in power plant chemistry and water treatment is required.
? A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
? Extensive experience in the use of personal computers and numerous softwa! re applications such as Excel, Word, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, A! ccess, Plant Historian (PI), etc.
? Ability to work occasional rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends.
? Ability to productively work independently and as an overall integral team member.
? Ability to develop relationships with Plant Management and Corporate entities.
? Must have strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively organize and facilitate process teams to implement improvement initiatives.
