JOB SUMMARY: Patient Access representative to perform scheduling, pre-registration and clerical support duties of a complex nature. Conducts patient/guara! ntor interviews, explain hospital policies, privacy practices, patient bill of rights and financial responsibilities. Ensures that pre-certification and/or authorization are obtained, patient liability is collected while performing quality service to our customers with daily cash reconciliation. Works well with ancillary departments to ensure information provided is timely and distributed accurately.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Education or GED
Licensure: N/A
Experience: Medical terminology, billing and/or collection experience preferred; Computer experience required.
