Status: Regular, Full-Time, Exempt

Location: US, Any CoreSite market
Role
As a member of the company's Sales, Marketing and Customer Service team, the Director Sales, Mobility will be responsible for sourcing and closing sale transactions and driving the company strategy within the Mobility customer base. The Director Sales is an individual contributor role to lease/license data center and office space according to the Company business plan.

Candidates must have significant experience selling to mobility companies with their most recent work experience. Best candidates will have a mix of experience selling to wireless carriers and to mobility ecosystem members (see list below).

Candidate should be highly conversed and up to date with all of the latest happenings within the mobility space. This will include having sold to companies heavily engaged with all varieties of mobility enablement, such as these business areas below:

Wireless network carriers

Real-time communications

Messaging

Infor! mation access

Application downloads

Business! process solutions (Line of business applications)

Mobile broadband

Mobile device management services

Mobile cloud computing

Ad Insertion

Duties

Leasing/Licensing

Source potential transactions for the Company within the Mobility segment

Prepare quotes and proposals for new, expansion and renewal business

Evangelize CoreSite as the place for Mobility businesses to meet and conduct their operations

Negotiate business and legal terms with potential customers and prospects according to Company guidelines

Review and ensure the accuracy of lease/license documents prior to delivery to potential customers or prospects

Report activities and opportunities to the Company on a regular basis

Oversee transition of finalized transactions to Sales Support Managers

Meet Sales quotas

Management

Forecast and understand supply and demand trends in the ! Mobility segment

Understand the competitive landscape and recommend pricing and product strategy to the Company

Ensure that the Company brand is accurately reflected at the Data Center and through our processes and customer interactions

Manage multiple strategic and important accounts to ensure satisfaction and growth with the Company

Ensure overall profitability and growth of the Company

Participate in additional strategic projects as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proven track record within Mobility segment and a rolodex of contacts across multiple customers

Strong understanding of telecom & mobile business and methods to sell to mobility companies within that ecosystem

Ability to multi-task and make good decisions

Ability to ask excellent questions

Strong sales and presentation skills

Excels in a team-oriented work environment

Exhibits a strong w! ork ethic and accountability to deadlines

Advanced computer sk! ills (primarily Microsoft Outlook and Office)

Understanding of real estate principles and the data center industry a plus but not required

Ability to analyze multiple offers for a limited resource, weighing both qualitative and quantitative data to arrive at the optimal solution

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people of different title, ethnicity, age and experience level

Self-starter that does not need constant supervision to be effective

Salesforce.com CRM tool experience a benefit but not required

Data center experience not required but an advantage

Education/Experience

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university

6+ years of telecom related sales experience

Knowledge of the data center, internet and telecommunications industries

Proven track record of meeting and exceeding quota

Travel

Must be able to travel on! short notice.

Travel requirements as needed, but expect 30-50% depending on the month
