Our client is an extruder of rigid clear plastic film used primarily in the food industry. Do to a resignation, they are in need of an! experienced Process Engineer.
The Process Engineer will ensure process control and implement improvements in plant processes. This person will coordinate the qualification of new ideas, projects, products, processes, equipment, facilities, and innovations within plant. Effective interaction with customers (internal & external), suppliers, and fellow employees will be key to success. Initially, this position will focus on the technical aspects of the Honeywell â€" Measurex thickness measurement systems, various "on-line vision systems" and other projects as assigned by the site manager. However, it will broaden in scope as personal skills are developed and plant requirements are further defined.
Key to hire : Attitude + extrusion experience (Attitude more important then experience)
Roll up sleeve type of person. Must be able to interface with all levels within plant, corporation and customers.

24 / 7 operation
Equipm! ent : (2) large extruders and (1) blown film line
Product : Polyester extruded rigid plastic film
Travel : limited - to corporate and possibly other plants within company
High visibility position
Not an 8 - 4:30 position - at 24 / 7 may require appearance on 2nd and 3rd shifts
Only other engineer at plant will be Site Manager
Education: Engineering degree in Mechanical or Chemical. Polymer degree not required
Objective: to be able to expand this facility thru process improvement
