Contracts Assistant


 

The Contract Clerk is responsible for providing clerical support to the Contracts department with tasks such as compiling data, obtaining documentation, reporting, document/letter drafting, contract administration and maintenance and other tasks.

  • Prepare routine Letter of Agreements for out-of-network services and follow up on status until letter of agreement is fully executed.
  • Transcribe and process correspondence for department leadership.

  • Send copy of contracts to applicable entities in accordance with AB 1455 requirements.
  • Prepare and distribute reports, as needed.
  • Maintain address labels and databases for Specialist and Ancillary mailings.
  • Manage and track communications with PPOs, PCPs and Credentialing for PPO participation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to compile required information needed for existing and/or potential providers.
  • Create and maintain contract files and databases for providers, PPOs and HMOs. Upload documents to the Document Storage System.
  • Assemble, file and update contract requirement documents, manuals and regulations.
  • Assist with Network Development projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of clerical experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong telephone etiquette skills. Ability to effectively communicate with individuals within all levels of the organization, patients, patient family members, providers, vendors and others.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to meet established deadlines. Ability to reprioritize tasks as needed.
  • Attention to detail. Strong organizational skills.
  • Positive interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.18 - $23.32 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

  • Palm Springs, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
