Overview:
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: THIS POSITION IS ON-SITE.
Responsible for ensuring the day-to-day effectiveness of CHLA’s Compliance Program. Will serve as a subject-matter expert on compliance topics and by maintaining comprehensive knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and policies, by writing and reviewing applicable internal policies and procedures. Will assist in the design and delivery of Compliance Program education. Will track and regularly report on Compliance Program metrics.
Other essential functions include:
  • Identify, review and monitor compliance issues and opportunities for enhancing organizational compliance.
  • Develop and maintain a system for identifying and reporting compliance issues, complaints, concerns, questions, resolution, and follow-up.
  • Manage and investigate Compliance Hotline incidents.
  • Coordinate responses to identified compliance questions, concerns or federal/state inquiries or investigations.
  • Draft, update, and implement Compliance Program policies.
  • Represent the Office of Compliance and Privacy at meeting and committees.
  • Coordinate with the Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Compliance Committee the on-going enhancement of the Compliance Plan and Code of Conduct to improve effectiveness or in response to changing organizational needs or new/revised regulation, policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain Compliance Program dashboards. Prepare reports for the Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Compliance Committee on the effectiveness of CHLA’s Compliance Program.
  • Provide focused in-service education and training to various departments upon request.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
6+ years of experience in healthcare compliance, auditing, quality control or finance preferred. Experience in the hospital environment preferred.

Education/Licensure/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree requires, Master’s degree preferred. Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) from the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) required.
Pay Scale Information: USD $89,440.00 - USD $160,992.00

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
