The Analytics Technical Team Manager (GIS) will lead the technical team and will be responsible for daily supervision, personnel eval! uation, team-building, and the technical development of all team members.
The Manager will also be fully involved in the daily activities of the team, including: the development of protocols and workflows, preparation of map layers and documents, construction and maintenance of georeferenced databases, completion of analyses using ESRI ArcGIS with Business Analyst, and other tasks as assigned. Other duties may include building and/or maintaining departmental data share sites and tools and handling data using SQL and/or Visual Basic.

Major Responsibilities:
Manages the day-to-day activities of the Analytics Technical Team; sets the team’s pace and standards, sets priorities, assigns work, handles scheduling and personnel issues, on-boards new employees, provides technical assistance to team members and other departmental personnel, builds and documents protocols and workflows, makes staffing and resources recommendations, manages software resources with the support of IT personnel, problem-solves issues.
Leads the team in: preparation of map layers, maps, and demographic reports using ESRI ArcGIS and Business Analyst; tracking of trade area development; general market analysis in support of new site ! selection; spatial data preparation in support of the Analyst Team; competitor analysis; and other projects as assigned in support of Company objectives.
Organizes and maintains shared folders and files and facilitates access to stored outputs.
Assists with additional data and analysis tasks as skills and experience allow.
Position Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Qualifications:
Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and the ability to apply this knowledge and teach others is required.
Completion of a four-year or two-year scientific or technical degree with education or training in cartography and geographic information systems (GIS) is required.
At least 5-7 years of related work experience is required; prior management or leadership experience is also required with preference given to applicants who can demonstrate ability! to train others.
Considerable knowledge of the use and operat! ion of ESRI ArcGIS (including building and managing multi-user geodatabases, scripting using PYTHON, and working with versioned workflows) is required; some experience using ESRI ArcGIS for Server and/or ESRI Business Analyst is desirable.
Familiarity with programming logic, coding, ArcSDE, development of web-based GIS applications using ArcGIS for Server, or relational database administration is desirable.
