NCI: As a Mac and PC Support Technician ( Desktop Support Technician II ) with NCI, you will assist Team Rome IT providing all tier II technical support of both Mac and PC desktops and laptops and Mac OS X servers. Support includes: Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, staging and de-staging computers, application installation and support of various peripherals. The position requires strong troubleshooting/problem solving and customer service skills. The successful candidat! e must be able to work independently and monitor call tracking! system queue for trouble tickets, administer Windows and Mac accounts. You will also be responsible for installing systems, and configuring user account profiles.

Highlights of Responsibilities:
Responsible for the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of Windows and Mac desktop and laptop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines. Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with computing equipment and software. Interacts with the Customer Support and Network Operations staff as appropriate to determine and resolve problems received from clients.
Responsible for maintaining various Mac OS X and Windows platforms in a multi-layered client server environment.
Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative ! systems.
Manage all licensed software according to Air Force guidelines.
Keep systems up to date with the latest upgrades, security patches, and required system scans. Provide on-going support for 42 scanner, large format and photo printers.

Requirements:Must have 3 years hands on experience with the following:
Windows 7 OS both 32 and 64 bit.
Mac OS X 10.6, 10.7, 10.9.
Operating and Mac Server.
Must have a working knowledge of the following design and video software:
Adobe CS5/CS6.
Photoshop.
Illustrator.
GoLive.
iLife.
iWork.
Final Cut Pro.
Motion.
DVD Studio Pro.
Quick Time.
LiveType.
Candidates must be able to obtain and hold a Government Secret Clearance.
Candidates must be able to obtain a CompTIA A+/Network+ Certification within 30 days and be able to obtain a current Microsoft Operating System certification such as Windows 7 Configuring or Windows 2008 Server.
Must! be available to work on-site at the customer location, Monday through ! Friday for an 8 hour shift between the hours of 7:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Preferred Education and Experience:
Apple Technical Coordinator or Apple Support Professional Certification a plus.
5 years experience supporting both Mac and Windows OS.
