PLC Programmer

To be the successful employee for this position, you will be required to read electrical schematics and program PLCs. Once the machines are programmed, you will follow the machine on-site to oversee the installation, troubleshoot and program modifications, as needed. Most of the travel is within the Chicago-land area. With this position, you have the opportunity to work virtual office - must have internet access and a cell phone; a laptop will be provided, if necessary
This is approximately a 6 month project and will go permanent for the right candidate.
Requirements
- Experience w/P! LC programming (various are used)
- Knowledge of Machin! e Control Circuits and how they function
- BSEE, a plus but not required
- Previous experience with general industry machinery - Metalworking
- Travel required - but mostly local
